You've apparently already downloaded it and are now trying to run it.
However, it appears to be corrupt. Delete the copy you downloaded.
Download a fresh copy and install it again. Don't try to run it diretcly
from the Bearshare site.

I would suggest that you *not* save download files to the Program Files
folder, but instead to a separate Downloads directory. This will make
cleanups and organization much easier and safer.

This message can also mean that your system is infected with a virus or
trojan. Try the free online scan at Trend Micro:

This is not a problem with the download itself, but with installing the
program. You should not download the installfile directly to your Programs
folder, but to a designated 'My Downloads' folder. Why the program won't
install is beyond me. Try booting into Safe Mode and then try to install.

You could also scan your computer for spyware and malicious programs.

Well, low-risk scumware. BearShare do acknowledge on their Webpage, that
their program comes with adware pop-ups. But as these antispyware sites
state, there are no malicious keys or phone-homes associated with it.

But, then, you should always be on your guard with respect to P2P programs.

Scumware is scumware.
