Error message when closing Internet Explorer

Maury Alamin

Whenever I quit Internet Explorer I get the following
error message:

DDE Server Window: iexplore.exe

The instruction at "0x01f72008" referenced memory
at "0x01f72008". The memory could not be "read".

This is a fairly new occurence. I'm running Internet
Explorer 6SP on Windows XP. Can anyone help or let me
know what's going on.

Thank you
Maury

Hi,
I wrote almost the exact same thing on here two days
ago . I didn't get any response. I get that same error
message everytime I close IE. It started about two weeks
ago. I thought that it might have something to do with
changing internet providers and installing a router
between two computers. If someone else is having the same
problem then maybe that's not the case.
I too, am running IE 6.0 and windows XP professional. I
will let you know if I hear anything. Please do the same.
Thanks.....Karen

[WE HAVE A WINNER!]

1. Disable your anti-virus application.

2. Leave it off while you go to Windows Update and get Q818529 (at least).

3. Reboot when instructed.

4. See problem disappear.

5. If not, uninstall Yahoo Companion (Toolbar).
