Error Message unrecognized database format

We have been using SQL Enterprise Manager to update an Access database for a
couple of years now. Yesterday I received the error message
Unrecognized database format '\\server\folder\mfgpro_dev03.mdb'.
What does this mean? What do I have to do to correct this? I did not set
this up, I am only running the updates.

It almost certainly means that mfgpro_dev03.mdb has been corrupted;
perhaps it can be repaired, perhaps not. Hopefully you have a backup!

Try opening the database directly in Microsoft Access. If you are able
to do so, choose Tools... Database Utilities... Compact and Repair
Database to see if it can repair the damage.

If (as seems likely :-{( ) you cannot open it, try using Access to
create a new, empty database; then use File... Get External Data...
Import to import whatever can be salvaged from your database.

If that fails... get out your backup disk or tape.

If you don't have one... good luck, you'll need it.
