error message: there was an error found when printing to lpt1

When i upgraded to win 2K my HP laserjet 6mp stopped
working. on all print jobs i get the following error:

"there was an error found when printing the document '' to
lpt1"

-- Any advice on how to remedy this error and getting the
printer back working correctly?
 
Hi ,
As you didnt tell what was your prev OS,
I suggest you to remove old driver, and install
WIN2k drivers for that
