Error Message: The Procedure Number is out of Range

There is an Access ADP. The ADP is used on Windows XP SP1. The ADP uses a MS
SQL Server 2000 SP3, which is running on a Windows 2003 Server.

Since a couple of days the ADP is making trouble. Either it shows the error
message "The Procedure Number is out of Range" or it simply crashes. I am
sure, there are no problems with the ADP's code, as it has been used
successfully for months.

The PC, where the problems can be seen, was moved. It was taken out of a
Windows 2000 domain, then it got another name and another IP-address, then
it was put into a 2003 domain.

Looking in Google concerning the above message hints into the direction of
"network / RPC". But I have found nothing about what I should now do.

I have already re-installed the usual service packs (Office, ADO, XML,
Windows). No success.

Another PC, which has been installed with a fresh copy of Windows XP and the
put into the 2003 domain, does not show these problems. Should I simply
forget the problem-PC and re-install it from scratch?
