I have just installed Microsoft Office 2003 onto my new laptop and when I try
to open Outlook I get the following message -
'Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. MAPI132.DLL is corrupt or the wrong
version. This could have been caused by installing other messaging software.
Please reinstall Outlook.'

I downloaded all the recommended updates from Microsoft, everything else is
ok except Outlook. What should I do?

Try renaming/deleting the mapi32.dll file found at:

C"\Program Files\Common Files\System\MSMAPI\1033

Once the rename is done, perform a detect/repair/reinstall on Office/outlook
2003 via the add/remove programs applet in the control panel.

Forgot to mention, should rename mapi32.dll and msmapi32.dll before doing
the detect/repair.

Hey I'm running Vista but I don't seem to have an MSMAPI folder listed the
System Folder... I've tried running a search for mapi32.dll, and when I try
and rename I get a message that I don't have access to change files in this
folder... I am logged in as the Admin on the laptop?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thx,
