error message "Problem Applying Profile"

can anyone help with this error am creating a new profile on Sony Laptop
windows XP pro and all set up is appernetly correct but when connection is
attempted this error message apperas and will not connect

Hi Mark,

Mark have you tried these steps below:

1. Right click on “My Computer” and select “properties”
2. Click on “Advanced” tab
3. Under “Performance” click on “Settings”
4. Click on “Data Execution Prevention” tab
5. Select “Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select”
6. Click on “Add…”
7. Select: “C:\ProgramFiles\Intel\Wireless\Bin\Dot1XCfg.exe”
8. Click OK until all pop-up windows are closed
9. Restart the computer
