error message: please help!

when i sign onto the internet and internet explorer
opens, i get a message that says "internet explorer has
encountered an error and needs to close. would you like
to send an error message?" and then internet explorer
closes. this happens every time i go online. luckily, i
also have netscape installed, but i still want to solve
my problem with IE. i have tried un-installing and then
re-installing IE, but this did not help the problem. i
have no idea what to do. if someone has any ideas, please
email me.

Albert,
From Control Panel> Internet Options> Advanced uncheck "Enable third party
browser extensions." That should allow IE to open.

Run CWShredder from

It's been
the most helpful with this problem. CWShredder is only about 125 KB so it
could be downloaded from another machine onto a floppy disk.
Note: the usual download site for CWShredder would be merijn.org That site
is
currently experiencing a denial of service attack.

You may need to follow up with Ad-aware and/or Spybot S&D. Both programs
should be updated after installation- before use.

You should re-enable browser extensions after the cleanup.
