Error message on XP Pro startup

P

Parev

Hi there,

Just a couple days ago, I started getting this error message in XP
Pro. It looks like one of those strange virus error messages caused
by those worms.

Please refer to the link I've provided with a screen capture JPG of
the error message at startup.

It's seems strange as it reminded me of the "remote procedure call"
error message people were getting when that one widely spread worm hit
a while back.

But I still have to upgrade my virus program, as it's like a year old.

I'll keep you guys posted

Hi !

Yes, I did the spybot, adaware, and spyblaster programs, and they
removed a bunch of junk.

I still get the message though.

Yes!! the online scan. I'm gonna do that now.

Thank You

Hi Parev,

Does the message occur randomly or with certain programs?
You might look in Task manager to see which programs are executing at
the time of the message, see if they appear in msconfig at start up
and disable them.

Let's wait for the results of the scan.
