Error message on shutdown

Hello,

I recently had to re install windows xp. After re
formatting the hard drive and re installing windows xp
and doing all of the patches, the computer would not shut
down, when you would click shut down as an option in the
shut down screen the computer would just restart. Then
after following the advice in the help section of windows
xp for the shutting down problem I now get the following
message when trying to shut down the computer.

I am at a loss now as to what to do about this, any help
would be greatly appreciated
