Error Message 'Module not available'

My team has an Access database, which has been functioning for over 3 years
and was working well up till last week when an error message 'Module not
available' was displayed when opening the system. The individual tables are
all available and in tact, but when we try to run the forms, which is the
basic data entry mode the error is generated. Is this something that can be
remedied? There is nobody with Access expertise at this level and we need to
know if it can be sorted out .

Thanks!

Which version of Access?

When you open the database, do you see the tables, queries, forms, macros,
modules? If Not try opening the database while holding the shift key down.

Modules are where the vb code is held which runs the codes behind the forms.

If you can see tables, queries, forms but no modules, chances are they have
either been deleted, re-named or corrupted.

Only suggestion I have is to see if you have a working archive version. If
its not a linked front end back end data base, delete the tables in a copy,
import the tables from the corrupted version into the working copy.

If its a linked front end back end version, have you got a working archive
copy of the front end? Re-link the back end tables to the front end.

Try a compact and repair as a last chance.

You really need someone who has a little knowledge of databases to help you
out.

Thats all I can offer unless there is someone on here that has come across
this issue or can assist you further.

Hope this helps???

Many thanks - Our student placement has Access knowledge and has checked
through the forms and found one is corrupted. We have arranged a restore
from our backups.
