Error Message in Word XP "Can't exit design mode because control

Dear One and all

I get the following error message when I open a document in "Word XP" the
message is as follows ""Can't exit design mode because control 'CheckBox232'
can not be created""

Using Word 2003 an Word 2007 don't get that problem

The problem is only with this one document?

If you save it in Word 2003 in the RTF file format, close, then re-open and
save back to *.doc format, does that help?
