Does anyone know what this mapisp32 error message means
and what to do to get rid of it?

MAPISP32 caused an invalid page fault in
module KERNEL32.DLL at 0177:bff7b997.

When does this happen and what version of Outlook are you using? You can

The version is Outlook 97. It happens when I try to start
Outlook.
