Error message in Outlook Express

I am using Outlook Express 6 and got a blue screen while
messages were being downloaded. I had to reboot my
computer and now when I open Outlook Express, I get the
following error message --
An Outlook Express store file may be damaged. Please use a
utility such as ScanDisk to verify and repair any damaged
files. Account: 'XXX XXXXXXX', Server: 'pop-
server.wi.rr.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL):
No, Error Number: 0x800C0155
I have tried to run ScanDisk, but there has to be
something running in the background because it keeps
restarting. I don't know what to run or what to open to
find out what programs are running. I also don't know how
to get around that error message. Any help would be
appreciated.
