Steve

I recently upgraded to FP 2003, but had the same problem
before the update with FP2000. When I try to publish a
website, I receive an (FP) error message saying
(paraphrased), "Frontpage received a response from the
server it could not parse. Check to see if FrontPage
extensions are turned on or correctly set."

I am using the MS bCentral server. bCentral says the
problem is with FrontPage. Twice, I was able to publish
the website without incident, but mostly I keep getting
this error message.

What is going on? What do I do? Thanks.

Can you open your online site in FP (File Open Site and enter your bcentral URL)
After any upgrade always first do a File Publish Site - select All (from the Publishing tab)

PS
since you have had several publishing errors also find and delete all *.web files and FP temp files before you open FP
