Error Message Can't Contact LDAP Directory Server (81)

When I begin typing address of someone I know is in my
contact list, the email system will not cooperate. If I
click on "To:", or "CC:" buttons, I get an error message
that reads: "Can't contact LDAP Directory Server (81)"

Post your Outlook version.
Post your upgrade path. I suspect you did not install your current version
cleanly.
