Error message: C:\PROGRA`1\MI1933~1\OFFICE10\OUTLOOK.EXE

When I close Outlook 2002 I sometimes get the above error message. Other
times I get the following message: "Microsoft Outlook has encountered a
problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." I have used
"detect and repair" in Outlook 2002. I've also run "detect and repair" in
"add/remove programs; Microsoft Office XP Professional". Doing this solves
the problem for 1-2 days and then I start getting the error messages again.
I've also created as new ".pst" file in Outlook thinking I might have a
corrupt file but still I continue to get one of the two error messages. All
my anti-virus and ad blocking programs are current. I've run Spy Bot, Ad-ware
and all the Norton utilities. I've run check disk (both Microsofts and
Nortons), disk defrag and clean sweep. The only way to get rid of the error
messages is to do the "detect and repair" in Outlook 2002 or "detect and
repair' in MS Office XP Professional but again it only fixes the problem for
a day or two. Very frustrating!! Any help you can lend would be much
appreciated.

PS:I've also done the troubleshooting steps below:

Repair Outlook
==========

1) Close Outlook, click start menu | control panel

2) Click "add/remove program".

3) Click "change or remove programs".

4) In the right pane box, select "Microsoft Office 2000" and click remove.

5) Click "repair office".

Please check if the problem still occurs.

Start Outlook in Safe Mode
=====================

If the problem still occurs, please try to start Outlook in safe mode and
check the
problem.

Please start Outlook in Safe Mode with the "/safe" command-line switch:

1) Click the "Start" menu, and then click "Run".

2) In the Open window, type "Outlook.exe".

3) Following the last character of the name, type a space followed by
"/Safe"
(without the quotation marks), and click "ok". Here is an example:

"Outlook.exe /Safe"

If the file "outlook.exe" is not found, please type the exact path of this
file and
repeat the step . If there are spaces in the path name, enclose it in
quotation
marks. Here is another example:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\Outlook.exe" /Safe

This causes Outlook to load without COM Add-ins and extensions.

Now does the problem still appear in "Safe Mode"?

Create a new profile
===============

If all the below do not work, this issue may be caused by the corrupted
profile or
..pst file. Please use the following steps to create a new profile to
perform a
test:

Backup pst file
--------------

1. Click "Start", point to "Search".

2. Click "All Files and Folders" and click "More Advanced Options" and make
sure
the following options are checked:

-- Search System Subfolder

-- Search Hidden files and folders

-- Search Subfolders

3. In the "All or Part of the File Name" box, type "*.PST" (without
quotation
marks) and click "Search".

4. Create a new folder and copy all of the .PST files found to the new
folder as
the backup.

Create a new profile
-------------------------------

If the installation mode of Outlook 2002 is IMO
-----------------------------------------------------

In this installation mode, we can start Outlook with a new .pst file:

1. Click "Start" and then click "Run".

2. In the Open window, type "Outlook.exe".

3. Following the last character of the name, type a space followed by
"/Cleanpst"
(without the quotation marks), and click "ok". Here is an example:"

Outlook.exe /Cleanpst"

If the file "outlook.exe" is not found, please type the exact path of this
file and
repeat Step 3. If there are spaces in the path name, enclose it in
quotation marks.


Here is another example:

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10\Outlook.exe" /Cleanpst

4. When Outlook starts with a new PST file, please check if the option
works now.


NOTE: The old PST is not lost. By taking the following steps, we can
restore
Outlook:

1) Open the old PST file in Outlook.

2) Right-click the old Personal Folders in the "Folder List" and on the
shortcut
menu click "Properties for <folder name>" where <folder name> is the
display name
of the current PST. Click the "Deliver POP mail to this personal folders
file"
check-box, and then click "OK".

3) Exit Outlook and restart it. Outlook will be restored.

If the installation mode of Outlook 2002 is CW
