Try booting in Safe Mode. If this does not help then you might
have a faulty memory chip. Your PC dealer would be able to
help you with this one.

I have found that the windows update service can sometime cause this
message. A work around is to switch the windows update to manual. reboot
the pc and see if the same message occurs.

I have not found a permanent fix as yet.

I managed to get in on safe mode but what do i do next, i think its to do
with the windows update service, but when i opened the services window on my
computer there is nothing there.

How exactly did you open the "Services window"?

A similar message can be caused by the windows update service. try
switching it off and see if he problem re-occurs.

if it is this you will need to do manual updates but at least it might get
you up and running again.
