Error Message After Install FSX (Correction)

I had the following error message pop up at the end of the FSX attempt
to install:

ERROR 1935:An error ocurred during the installation of assembly
"Microsoft.FlightSimulator.SimConnect,
ProfilePublicKeyToken="67c7c14424d61b5b", version="10.0.60905.0",
type="Win32", processor architecture="x86". Please refer to Help and
Support for more information. HRESULT: 0x80070091.

I tried the installation twice with the same error message as the
result. Any help would be appreciated.

No need to respond to this. I found out through reading other posts
that others were having this same problem. There were a variety of
suggestions made with mixed results. I tried a combination of several
and I succeeded in installing the game and activating it over the
Internet (another problem being mentioned by people with FSX).

What worked for me was to rename a file in
C:\windows\system32\mscoree.dll. A person suggested moving it to the
desktop, but I was unable to delete the file after I made the move. I
then went to Start>Run> and typed msconfig. When the dialog box came up
I went into the "Startup" folder and disabled all the things I had
loading at startup. The installation went smoothly, and I was able to
activate the game over the Internet.

Problem resolved. FWIW, I spent an hour in que on the tech support line
before I had to hang up.

You suggesting that FSX needs to be activated over the Internet before it
can be played??? If that's the case, well guess I'll wait till somebody I
knows is stupid enough to buy it then it's copy and crack time.

I just simply will never support "activation" or any other limitation on
what I purchase PERIOD and I don't give a rat's ass MS calls it a license.
If it's a license, then show up at my door and we'll discuss reliability and
support as part and parcel of it BEFORE purchase and dealing with
incompatibilities, crashes etc. etc.
