Error Loading Operating System XP Pro

I am getting a erroe report on the bootup of my system. The message reads:
Searching for boot record from IDE 0.. okay error loading operating system

I cannot get my system to bootup. It stops at this message. Can anyone Help
me?

Have you tried repairing your OS through WinXP install CD? There's a recovery
console in there that can help. Here are links to follow:

Hi,

try to repait the boot.ini by doing the following;

Start your computer by using the Windows Setup floppy disks, or with
the Windows CD-ROM.
2. At the "Welcome to Setup" screen, press R to repair the
installation, and then press C to start Recovery Console.
3. Select the Windows installation that you want to repair, and then
press ENTER.
4. Type the Administrator password, and then press ENTER.



type the following; bootcfg /rebuild
