Error loading Microsoft pages.

Odd. I get an error loading most Microsoft pages. I
suspect it has something to do with multiple language
support. Why? Because the http://support.microsoft.com
page comes up in German! I have checked the setting in IE
for English. I think someone may have set the language to
German at some point in time.

Haven't been able to download system updates since July.
The system hangs after hitting the install button
(sometimes it gives me the EULA) on the updates page.
Probably the same problem as above.

The errors messages are of course not helpful: "error in
loading DLL" and often a page item with "flyout" in it
will be in the error message.

I had to borrow a computer just to enter this post. Can't
get to this on mine....

Any ideas?

Regarding the German problem, go to Control Panel, regional settings. Make
sure you're not set for Germany or something.
