error invalid page fault in mso97.dll

in version 97, after selecting a print area recieving
error "Excel caused invalid page fault in mso97.dll" when
trying to print to an HP 600 printer. Cannot find an
error on technet relating to printing when this error
occurs. Conceirge chat could not find an article either
and referred me to newsgroups.
Any ideas out there??

Are you running Client Access on an AS400? Do you have any external
programs that may connect to Excel that may have a different default
printer?

In any case, you should look to see you are fully patched I think 97 got to
SR2g or something.

Thanks. No we are not on AS400. This pc in on Windows 98 using Office 97. It is a stand alone pc
