Error: Invalid character

As I attempt to browse using Internet Explorer, I find an
error Icon on the Status Bar.
When I double click the error Icon, the window shows
always the same details as follows:

Line: 2
Char: 7
Error: Invalid character
Code: 0
URL: <this would show the appropriate URL>

This error I believe is limiting me from doing a lot of
things, including accessing Web Mail, etc.

I sincerely appreciate inputs from anyone,

Common script errors messages can be eliminated by Clicking:
Menu: Tools - Internet Options - Advanced tab.
Check "Disable script debugging"
Uncheck "Display a notification about every script error"
