Error Installing DotNet 1.1 Framework

I'm trying to install DotNet 1.1 Framework on Windows
2000 Server and I'm getting the following error.

Internal Error 2908.

Does anyone have any idea what this is? Any help would
be greatly appreciated.

What component is it trying to regiseter? How would I
get around this problem? It installed fine on another
Win 2k Server. Thanks for you help.

It's probably do to a corrupt registry. Try to use scanreg /fix to see if
that works.
