Error importing contacts from Outlook

I exported a contacts file from outlook (cvs) and tried to import it into
Windows Mail. After partially importing the entries the process stopped
with a message "an error has occurred". Only the first 28 entries ended up
in my Windows Mail contacts folder. Well, I had been importing the wrong
contacts list anyway - I wanted my wife's list, so I deleted the 28 entries
and tried to import the correct cvs file. The process again stopped part
way through and to my unhappy surprise, I ended up with the same incorrect
28 entries I had originally (from the wrong contacts file).
The process worked fine on my other computer by the way.
How can I get rid of the wrong entries and import the correct ones?

I am trying to figure this stuff out too. What i did was use my Yahoo
e-mail (Pop3) in Windows mail. It worked so i used my Hotmail to email all
addresses in that account to yahoo and saved the addresses in windows mail.
it worked .
