Error getting procedure address

After installing SP-2 on my Win XP Pro PC, I can't access Microsoft
updates. When I go to the MS update site, I get a pop-up that asks to
install a program. When I click on INSTALL, another window pops-up:
"Advanced INF Installer - Error getting procedure address".
How do I fix this? I was getting updates with SP-1 and SP-2 installed
without any problems from the CD MS sent me. Do I have to uninstall
SP-2? Or are there no updates to install? Please advise to group or
my email: (e-mail address removed)
NOTE: remove NO from email. TIA

You might try posting to the update newsgroup. I would scan for spyware and
viruses then possibly reinstall Java.
