Error - Explorer! pop-up

I've been working on a Dell laptop Inspiron w/ Xp. Did a bunch of system
maintenance plus TrendMicro's Sysclean, Symantec AV, AdAware, Spybot,
CWShredder. The only thing left to get rid of is this pop-up that appears
occasionally. It is labeled Error and just says Explorer! I just X it out,
but sometimes it seems nothing moves until you X it out. How to get rid of
this permanently??? Please help!

Make sure all scans are done with updated tools in Safe Mode. I would
scan with HijackThis and also check out SilentRunners information about
removing CoolWebSearch garbage. Here are links:

HijackThis is an excellent tool to discover and disable hijackers, but
it requires expert skill. See below for HijackThis links. A combination
of HijackThis and About:Buster works well in removing the About:Blank
homepage hijacker. Again, this is an expert tool and novices should get
help with it.
