error: DIRVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Hi, all

I met a tough problem. When booting XPe£¬a blue sceen appears and shows that
A problem has been detected and window has been shut down bla bla bla.

The error is DIRVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

***STOP:0x000000D1 (0x00000000.0x000000FF.0x00000000.00000000)

But not device driver is mentioned.

I am using SP2, the error appeared about every 10 times when XPe booting.
After rebooting, XPe recovers.

How did this happen, and how did I get rid of it? Thanks!

Hi Maverick,

I had the same exprience while using a platform with IT8888 PCI to ISA chip.
It shows blue screen randomly even use XP Pro. Than I turned the IT8888 port
speed to Medium, the problem was fixed. Of course, this is just my case. If
your platform doesn't have such chip that could cause the problem, the only
way is to follow KM's suggestion to use KD.

Hi Maverick,

I'm glad to help you fix this problem. Since GX3 speed cannot match IT8888
timing, you need to slow down IT8888 to wait the single.
