Error Deleting File or Folder

I am having problems deleting a file. Never ever seen
this problem. A simple delete or drag and drop or change
name nothing seems to work.

WHen I try to delete I get the following error message:
Error deleting file or folder
Cannot delete file: Cannot read from source file or disk

Has anyone encountered this problem?
Can anyone provide any help?

Would much appreciate it.

I see that all the time . It occurs AFTER I have deleted a file or
folder already and it does not disappear from explorer.
the only fix I have found is to close and reopen explorer.
it is no longer there.
