From Outlook, when clicking on FILE>OPEN>OTher users Calendar

And try to book a meeting from the resource calender I get the following
error when trying to create an appointmnet

"You don't have permission to create an entry in this folder. Right-click
the folder, and the click Properties to check your missions for the folder.
See the folder owner or your administrator to change permissions."

However, when opening my calendar and including the resource I'm able to
book the appointment.

Please advise!

Everything is working as planned. Your Company has created a
Calendar Resource that you book meetings into. It will automatically
check to see if the room is available and then respond to you with
an Accept or Decline.

If you (or others) were allowed to write on the calendar you (or the
others could "double-book" the resource or even delete each others
meetings and then take over the room.

By automating this and letting Outlook/Exchange check everything
for you there is no worries of an over-booking or accidental
deletion occurring. You can make a meeting and be assured that you
have the room and that no mistakes can be made.

Ok but the users want to open the calendar and book it from there like they
use to do it?

=)

Change is always hard at first but in a few weeks it will become
natural.
