Error: Could not locate Java Virtual Machine.

Greetings everyone,

For some reason when I boot my computer up I receive an error msg. that
says: Error: Could not locate Java Virtual Machine. Class not registered. I
have not made any changes to effect the behavior of my computer, so ...... ?

I have researched Help and KB articles and did not find the answer. Please
help me.
