On computer with an evaluation copy of Windows 2000 Advanced Server, I'm
trying to do a clean install of Windows 2000 Advanced Server. When I select
"Install Windows 2000" I get the error message "Error copying OEM files from
the specified location. Do you want to cancel the upgrade?" Whether I select
Yes or No, I see the message "Error initializing OEM files. Setup cannot
continue." then "The option to upgrade will not be available at this time.
Access is denied." Setup continues. The option to upgrade is greyed out. I
select "Clean Install" and enter my Product Key, but setup aborts. Others
have posted similar symptoms in the past, but I have not seen a solution. KB
252812 suggests removing Novell client from a beta Windows 2000 installation,
but I don't have Novell client.
