ERROR CODE Ox80040900

In our small business we have been getting the error code 0x80040900 along
with the following message randomly: "Receiving report error, The server
name you entered can not be found on the network (it might be down
temporarily) Please verify that you are online and that the server name is
correct." We have been getting this for the last 2 weeks off and on and not
always on the same computer. Sometimes when an e-mail gets it on one computer
we can actually get that same e-mail on another computer. Today we are unable
to get the e-mail from the server this applies to on any of the computers but
we can still get our fairpoint e-mail. we definately are on line and I've
tried repairing outlook and many other things. This is happening on both
outlook 2003 and 2007. Can anyone help?

If the server itself checks out correctly, you might want to
disable/uninstall your virus scanner's integration with Outlook.

Thanks for the info. I tried this but it didn't work. I also ran a scan by
using malwarebytes and that did not help. Whe I came in today one of our
workstations had the e-mail functioning and the rest didn't then about 15
minutes ago they all started working again. We have Horde E-mail. I've
checked for add on's also. Any other ideas? Thanks!
