error code 1713

have a brand new media centre from Mesh pcs, when I try to install the tv
tuner software for my tv tuner card (Black Gold) I get an error 1713 message
which causes a fatal error. What can I do to prevent this? It cannot be
corrupt software because I have even used the software from the Black Gold
site along with the windows certified drivers

It cannot be corrupt software. Why not?

Are you trying to install from a CD?
