error 711

Can't get onto internet, get an error msg 711, in
connection setup it's notes something not loaded.

This on my home pc running xp home updated from 98, I
tried reloading from disc, no luck, can I use a disc
which came with my laptop also xp home, or the update of
xp pro i bought for my laptop. Any suggestions

A few days ago I had the same problem and I found these artilces. Basicly I restored my computer to a time before I had the service pack 1 installed. I had to reinstall the service pack and everying was back to nomal.
