error 6.0.2800.1106....What can I do about this?

All of a sudden I tried to open my internet explorer and it
keeps saying that it has encountered a problem and must
close. I cannot open internet explorer at all and had to
download netscape to access the internet. Is there anything
I can do about this error? Any help is much appreciated.

I have the same problem, and can't find anything specific
to this error signature in the Knowledge Base. Here's the
error signature:

AppName: iexplore.exe
AppVer: 6.0.2800.1106
ModName: iefeatsl.dll
ModVer: 0.0.0.0
Offset: 000143ce

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit(s) is/are with
these tools.

Let AD-Aware Scan your system for advertising Spyware

SpyBot-S&D
http://security.kolla.de/

p.s Reset the 3rd party browser setting.

More: This may be caused by a third-party program (adware, spyware,
parasite).
Get AdAware and SpyBot and run them both. Keep them up to date.
