Does anyone know what is causing this or how to fix this?

- Error #4000a Message: An error occurred accessing your
FrontPage web files. Authors - if authoring against a web
server, please contact the webmaster for this server's
site. WebMasters - please see the server's system log for
more details.

..
I have already looked in the server's system log found
nothing at all related to this, even though it says to
look, but there is nothing, I have looked and double-
checked.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I recently got the same message when publishing a web from one place on my
computer to another. The problem was a file that was too large, causing the
publishing function to time out. There is also a faq sheet on the Microsoft
site (I don't remember the URL) explaining that this error is usually a
timeout.

In the root directory of your hard drive, there should be a file called
frontpg.log, which would have a record of the error, but it might not be
very helpful.

I hope this helps.

Also, I have heard that:

When attempting to publish with FrontPage98, the following error is
received. Solution: Upgrade to a newer version of FrontPage.

This is an issue with FrontPage 98 clients being unable to login to a
site with the FrontPage 2002 Server Extensions. This has been reported
to Microsoft and that there is no known resolution at this time.

That's what I heard.

Hope that helped.
