Error 1612 when installing software

I get a message "Error 1612 - the installation source for this product is not
available. Verify that the source exists and that you can access it." when I
try to install the DVD component of my ATI Catalyst software update. I get
the same error message if I try to install the component from the
installation Disk. I haven't come across any information on how or what I
need to verify. In the interim I have completly remove and reinstalled the
ATI software but end up with the same error message. Anyone have
suggestions?
