When I tried to run a downloaded virtual prototyping board from
www.muvium.com I got the message "Error 1606. Could not access network
location %USERPROFILE%\Recent\."
Needless to say, retrying didn't help.
I am logged on as administrator.
What might the problem be?

See if this MS Knowledge Base article helps:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;315352

Otherwise, you should probably contact the program mfr. for tech support
with their product. This may be a known issue with a workaround and/or
patch. The virtual prototyping board people would know.

Thank you for the suggestion Malke but it didn't help.
The first thing I did was contact the author but his response wasn't helpful
- and seemed rather disinterested.

Then I'm sorry but I don't know. If the author of the software is
uninterested, then you should probably look for different software.
Maybe a local computer professional would be able to help. So often
someone who can actually see the machine will have an immediate answer
where someone reading about it online won't.

I'm sorry I didn't have an answer for you. Best of luck,

Malke
