Help ! Win 2000 Professional no longer allowing me to
install any software.

I'm getting "error 1606... could not access network
location %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Start
Menu\Programs\Administrative Tools\

ANy ideas on what to update in Regedit ? Thanks !

Hard to say, but it may be that one or more Reg_Expand_Sz strings were
changed to type Reg_Sz string.
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders

Based on another user thread - I deleted the "Common
Administrative Tools" entry.... should I put it
back !? (your suspicions were correct - I did notice
it was a Reg_Sz entry - before I blew it away!)
