I am trying to install Microsoft Digital Image Suite Edition Editor
(V11.00.422.0) and at the end of the installation I am receiving the
following: "Error 1606. Could not access network location INSTALLDIR. Retry
or Cancel". Only half of the program is then installed.
I have tried the following,but still the same problem arises:
I have refered to the relevent articles for this problem on the Microsoft
web-site. I have changed the sharing properties to Full Control for the c:
and My Music (as I
am using XP Home I have done this through Safe Mode with Networking). Also
disabled firewall, antivirus. Still no luck.
When I tried to install the program, within Safe Mode, I get the following
message "system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation".
Why would this happen when I am logged in as the system administrator?
Maybe this account is corrupted - is there any way to delete the system
administrator account and re-create a new one?
I have tried installing the program onto another PC and it is fine.
