Hi: When I try to install software (either that I've
downloaded or from a cd) I get Windows Installer Error 1324
which sometimes says "The folder path Compuserve
7.0/download contains an invalid character." Other times
it says "The path Compuserve 7.0/download or the volume is
invalid. Please enter it again." I've tried going into
the registry and deleting the / and tried replacing it with
a \ or just typing in Compuserve 7.0download. None of
these works. The registry just goes right back to
Compuserve 7.0/download when I reboot. I even tried going
into compuserve and adjusting the settings there but I
think I need downloaded files going into my compuserve 7.0
download subdirectory. Any ideas on ways to fix this?
Thanks much.
