Error 1058, can't start cryptographic services

For some reason I cannot start the cryptographic services? Due to this I am not able to install security updates from windows on my computer.

Hi Chr,

Open Windows Explorer to C:\Windows\system32, right-click/rename the
catroot2 folder to catold. Then retry the update installations. When
finished, there will be a new catroot2 folder and you can safely delete the
old renamed one.
