Error 101 when starting Antispyware Beta

Your recommendation

Verify you are logged on as an admin
Open up control panel and double-click on add/remove
programs.
Select Microsoft AntiSpyware
Select "Change"
On the Microsoft AntiSpyware Maintenance Wizard, click
next.
On the next screen (Microsoft AntiSpyware Maintenance
Wizard) select Update
Microsoft AntiSpyware and click next.
Select Install
Let the product update.
Click Finish.

does NOT help. After having tried this, I have
uninstalled and reinstalled once again. The problem still
occurs. What else can I do. I am running Win XP.

This may not work, but it won't be a waste of time. Uninstall MS
Antispyware again. Click Start / All Programs / Accessories / System
Tools and run Disk Cleanup. Get rid of all temp and temp internet
files. Go back to System Tools and run Disk Defragmenter even if the
report says you do not need to run it. Re-install MS Antispyware.
If that does not work, uninstall it again, create a new user account
with admin rights, log in as that new user and install it again.
