Error 0x80042108

I keep getting this message everytime I try to send and receive. It will no
let me do either send or receive. This started last Friday the 7th sometime
after 9:00 AM. When I test the email account, everything is supposed to be
a-okay. The only thing I did last Friday morning after checking my emails is
update my Norton security program through the live update that I have done
for the last year. Task 'pop.earthlink.net - Sending and Receiving' reported
error (0x80042108) : 'Outlook is unable to connect to your incoming (POP3)
e-mail server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server
administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'
