Error 0x80042108 in Outlook 2007

I am using a POP3 account in Outlook 2007. I was able to receive email fine
until Monday. When I click "Send/Receive" I see an error indication in the
lower, right-hand corner of Outlook. The error code is 0x80042108. I ran
scanpst.exe and repaired my Outlook file, but the problem persists. I do
have Symantec Endpoint with the firewall installed. However, I had Endpoint
BEFORE this problem began. I'd appreciate ANY help that can be offered in
regards to this problem. Thank you.

However, if your firewall software is set to perform an autoupdate (which
Symantec products are wont to do), how do you know that's not what happened?
