Hi --
Ever since running Adaware (adware remover), I can no
longer access ONE particular webpage from my home
computers. Unfortunately, I ran the Adaware on all 3
computers in my home network before realizing the
problem. 1 computer runs Windows 2000, while the other 2
use XP. They all connect to the Internet through a single
cable modem/router. The site I am trying to access is
www.sc.maricopa.edu -- Scottsdale Community College's
website. I am DESPERATE, as I work for the college, and
must be able to reach their site. This problem is not
occurring for any other site, and I have been able to
access the site from SEVERAL computers outside my home. I
have a feeling I screwed up some registry entry or
something.
Just now, I tried to run some DNS fix I found on DevShed.
Didn't do anything, much to my dismay.
Help... Thanks!

Try renaming the HOSTS file (found in C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc on a
Windows XP system, C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc on a Windows 2000 system)
to HOSTS.BAK, then see if you can access the site.

Thank you for such a quick response -- I tried this, but
it did not work. Also: I already had a HOSTS.BAK, which I
renamed to HOSTS2.BAK so that I could rename the original
HOSTS file to HOSTS>BAK. Should I change any of this back
to the original names?
Any other ideas?

That's very strange. Can you access the web site by its IP address?
