erratic scrolling

I have a problem with the scrollbar moving up or down on
its own.This is an intermittent fault but it is getting
steadily worse.I was advised to uninstall the mouse
driver and reinstall,but this did not work.Can somebody
come up with any solutions please?

sounds like a hardware issue try using another mouse. See
if that is the issue...
