erratic scrollbar behavior

Occasionally, when I view a web page, I find that the
scrollbar becomes highly unpredictable: I scroll and it
goes waaaay too far and often times reverts right back to
where it was originally positioned. Any ideas what this
is or what's causing it?

If this update 824145 is installed it may be the cause.
It can be removed with the Add/Remove applet but you will loose the security
protection.

Work around:
Click immediately under the slider.
Drag the slider.
Use the mouse wheel.
Use the Page Down and Page Up keys.
