Thanks for all the help you have given. I am trying to
delete all sensitive information from hard drive before
sending computer back to last owner. Your advice has been
to format hard disk, but that will erase operating system,
which I was never sent and is windows xp.

what do you think of using software such as evidence
eliminator or system mechanic to cleanse msn.com sign up
information off machine, including registry? Thanks again.

Your message is a bit hard to understand. It's not clear if you work in
international espionage or if you just want to make it so your cousin can't
read your old emails.

Destroying the existing partitions (which you can do by running setup off of
the XP distibution CD for example) will make it so that your cousin very
probably cannot read any of your old data off the disk. This does not mean
the data is gone -it's just very inaccessable. How badly do you want this
stuff to really be gone?
